Property boom in central Durham
The centre of Durham has witnessed an explosion in property sales in 2014.
In the last few months Bradley Hall has reported a steep rise in the number of instructions in the DH1 postcode area, with many of these converting to sales in double-quick time.
Recent deals include the sale of a detached period home for £855,000, a converted former barn for £675,000 and a unique three-bedroom detached home with stunning views of Durham city for £577,000.
Peter Bartley, director at Bradley Hall, said: “Our team in the Durham office is pushing hard for new instructions because our DH1 stock is selling so quickly. DH1 is a unique market as demand has remained high, even when the economy is struggling.”
