We would be lost without our accounts team, next in our series is someone who started as an apprentice, introducing: Nathan Hall, Accounts Assistant.
1. How has your career developed with Bradley Hall?
I joined Bradley Hall fresh from an apprenticeship, and I have developed myself by learning new skills and greatly increasing the expertise I had learnt due to being in a fast-paced office environment, such as Bradley Hall.
I started working on the office accounts for the business originally, but more recently have transferred to client side where I now assist the property management team. I enjoy working with a variety of property types from office to retail and everything in between, our large collection of clients, and working within a fast-paced environment as part of an ever growing team.
2. What does it take to make a good accounts assistant?
To be a good Accounts Assistant the following skills/characterises are pivotal: • Organisation • Self-Drive • Efficient time keeping
3. What’s a common myth about accounts?
A common myth about accounts is that it is not a particularly exciting department to be part of, which I must say isn’t true when working at Bradley Hall. I find my role has a huge amount of variety and no two days are the same which is great when in such a friendly environment.
4. Who or where do you draw professional inspiration from?
I draw professional inspiration from my desire to achieve. I consider myself to be a goal setter and planner, and I always feel these things inspire me to do better and to achieve my goals.
5. What advice would you give to your younger self?
Never to give up and always strive for excellence.
