Next in our series is someone who has joined our Leeds team 14 months ago. Introducing: Josh Robinson, Graduate Surveyor.
1. How has your career developed with Bradley Hall?
I started my surveying career with Bradley Hall 14 months ago and have since been able to apply the technical skills I acquired at university to real world scenarios.
2. What does it take to make a Graduate Surveyor?
A good graduate surveyor is someone who is always willing to learn and soak up knowledge expressed by being around the more senior surveyors. A good graduate surveyor should also be social and take up any chances available to network and get your name out onto the market.
3. What’s a common myth about your role?
A common myth about my role is that the valuation side is often seen as somewhat boring, however every day is different and I have encountered a number of interesting scenarios on property inspections.
4. Who or where do you draw professional inspiration from?
I draw my professional inspiration from my colleagues and hope to pass my APC soon to carry on progressing through the company.
5. What advice would you give to your younger self?
Advice I would give to my younger self is keep working hard, keep learning and enjoy the process.
