MEET THE TEAM: HELEN WALL, DIRECTOR OF SUNDERLAND

Created 22nd March 2024

At Bradley Hall we are proud of the people that make up our team, and know that each of our experts is as individual as the areas of property they work in. We are excited to share an insight into what makes Bradley Hall tick with our new meet the team series. Next in our series is the Director of our Sunderland branch, Helen Wall.

  1. How has your career developed with Bradley Hall?

I joined the firm as a Senior Surveyor and Sunderland branch manager in June 2021, working part time around family commitments. As the business quickly grew, I was keen to progress my career and was promoted to Director of Sunderland in April 2023. Hard work is always recognised in the firm and staff are regularly promoted internally.

  1. What does it take to be a General Practice Surveyor?

You must be hard working, resilient and knowledgeable. This is particularly important in the Valuation sector where thousands, if not millions of pounds are in play on the back of your advice.

  1. Who or where do you draw professional inspiration from?

My dad and my colleagues. I have been lucky enough to work alongside some exceptional mentors over the last 15 years.

  1. What’s the best part of your job?

No two days are ever the same. I enjoy being out and about meeting people, getting to visit dream homes but most of all, when a project or deal comes together knowing you have played a small cog in the process.

  1. What advice would you give your younger self?

Don’t take failure as a no. It’s usually just a not yet and try again.
