MEET THE TEAM: CASSIE MOYSE, GROUP MARKETING DIRECTOR

Created 5th April 2023

At Bradley Hall we are proud of the people that make up our team, and know that each of our experts is as individual as the areas of property they work in. We are excited to share an insight into what makes Bradley Hall tick with our new meet the team series.

Our next team member has been at Bradley Hall for five years and has progressed quickly during her time here. Introducing: Cassie Moyse, Group Marketing Director.

1. How has your career developed with Bradley Hall?

I started working for Bradley Hall through an agency called MHW PR. I started at MHW the day after I graduated, and learned a lot about PR and all of the different skills which support it. After five years, the demand for PR and Marketing at Bradley Hall grew alongside the rapid growth of the company and its services, so I moved over full time. I developed a much broader knowledge of marketing while also taking on the magazine, Portfolio North, from its third edition. I was promoted to Head of Marketing, the magazine grew and grew, gained its own client base, we established a targeted and significant readership, created a website and its own socials and a database. It was then set up as a separate business in November 2021, I became a director of that business and following that was promoted to Group Marketing Director in 2022. A lot happened in five years.

2. What does it take to make a good marketer?

An open mindset. Marketing is a very fast paced industry in that you can find new opportunities all of the time. You need to have a good network, be personable and collaborative, creative and not afraid to try something new. Good writing skills are essential and to have a good eye for design and detail.

3. What’s a common myth about marketing?

That it’s glamourous. That couldn’t be any further from the truth. We’re often carrying heavy boxes of magazines and marketing collateral, whizzing around setting up for events, juggling lots of projects at a time. You have to be analytical, and data led, as well as commercially minded and understand business strategy. It’s a stressful job but is definitely worth it. If you want a relaxed and glamourous job it isn’t for you.

4. Who or where do you draw professional inspiration from?

I try to take inspiration from as many different places as possible, from the people you meet to the books you read, podcasts you listen to and the programmes you watch on TV. If you keep your eyes and ears open, you’ll find something every day that motivates you. I get a lot of inspiration from my colleagues and the firms we work with, all have people who I find inspiring for different reasons, people who have grown big successful businesses, people who have overcome adversity or kept businesses and their teams during covid, and genuinely nice people who want to help one another. Too many to mention by name.

5. What advice would you give to your younger self?

Stop worrying, you can do anything you put your mind to, trust the process, appreciate the little wins, keep going, be kinder to yourself. Also, it doesn’t have to be all or nothing – you only have to get a percent better each day to be 365% better in a year.
