BRADLEY HALL SUPPORTS LOCAL FOOD BANKS THIS WINTER

Created 28th October 2022

Leading northern property firm, Bradley Hall is supporting a collection of local food banks this winter, covering areas across the North from Alnwick to Tees Valley.

The team at Bradley Hall support corporate charities every year, but also fundraise for localised charities where each of the firm’s nine offices are. These areas include Alnwick, Durham, Gosforth, Manchester, Morpeth, Newcastle, Sunderland, Leeds, and Tees Valley. This winter each of Bradley Hall’s residential offices will be acting as a drop off location for food banks they have partnered with across the region.

Each office is collecting food to support the local communities they are part of and will be gathering non-perishable items including tinned meat, fish and fruit, easy cook noodles and pasta pots, jars of coffee, long life milk, individually wrapped biscuits and cakes, and a selection of tinned meals.

Matt Hoy, Manging Director – Residential said: “At Bradley Hall we are big believers in giving back, especially during the run up to Christmas, when this year more than ever, more families will need support “With the cost-of-living crisis becoming a very real issue for many, being able to contribute and act as a drop off locations for others to support local communities in need is an easy yet rewarding way for us as a firm to give back to our local communities.

“Bradley Hall’s branches are situated across high streets and prominent locations across the North and therefore are accessible for those wishing to give back and donate, making them prime locations for food bank drop off points. “I am very proud of all our firm has achieved and continues to achieve when it comes to supporting the wider community and I am sure there will be a great number of generous donations from both staff and the firm itself to ensure that fewer people suffer this winter.”

Loree Moran Wilson, manager and owner of Kenton Food Bank said: “At Kenton Food Bank we feel very lucky to have a few organisations that help us out each week to help us stay topped up, however we are always grateful for donations and campaigns such as what Bradley Hall’s Gosforth office are organising this winter.

“We currently have over 600 clients who we feed each month, they range from single persons to large families of seven, and range in age from new born to pensioners. Any help is always appreciated, and we are very grateful for the Gosforth team at Bradley Hall for their assistance this year.”

Simone Green Network Support Officer at Durham Food Bank said: “Durham Food Bank started in late 2011 and has grown rapidly both in its coverage of the county and the numbers fed since then.

“We never forget that each person is an individual and not a statistic, which is why we spend time listening to the story of each individual and try to signpost them to the most appropriate help to resolve their current crisis.

“Although we have a wonderful group of volunteers and thousands of amazingly generous doners, we are always grateful for any support around this time of year and would like to thank Bradley Hall’s Durham office for their assistance this year.”

Linda Fugill, Project Manager of Wansbeck Valley Food Bank said: “At Wansbeck Valley Food Bank we are familiar with stories that describe the journey from wellbeing to the despair of food poverty. Every story we hear resolves our number one priority to ensure clients have food for today and access to appropriate re-sources that lead to self-sufficiency tomorrow.

“These are challenging times, but we are always grateful for the work of businesses and local organisations like Bradley Hall’s Morpeth team who are supporting us this year through their own donations and acting as a drop off point in the run up to winter.”
