AN AWARD-WINNING bridal studio has said yes to a new address after acquiring a historic property in Newcastle city centre.
You Are Precious Bridal has completed the purchase of 8 Higham Place, a Grade II listed period building just a stone’s throw from the Laing Art Gallery.
The bridal company was purchased by its current owner, fashion marketing graduate Danni Hesketh in May 2019, having worked with the business since it opened it August 2010.
Since then, the company has gone from strength-to-strength, winning multiple English Wedding and Bridal Awards, as well as becoming a supplier of sought-after dresses and gowns from global designers such as Savin London, Eliza Jane Howell, Madi Lane Bridal, Maggie Sottero, Rebecca Ingram and Allure Romance.
The move to Higham Place however will signal the start of a new chapter for the company, with the boutique moving its entire operation into the near 2,500 ft2 space in heart of the city centre, making it more accessible to customers and securing its long-term future in Newcastle.
Danni said: “We spent 12 incredible years at St Mary’s Place however we knew the time had come for a fresh start and to allow our business to flourish for our brides in a larger more luxurious space.
“We had been searching and keeping an eye on the rental market over the last couple of years, awaiting the perfect space, however we found ourselves in a position to purchase a place of our own and we finally have our forever home.
“Being positioned in the heart of Newcastle is crucial for our business as it is much more accessible for our brides and their guests due to its close proximity to transport links and carparks.
“What really drew us to the building however was the exterior aspect of the property. With its period features and extensive floorplan, we knew the building had the long-term scope to develop and grow our business and we’re looking forward to seeing what the future brings as we continue to grow.”
The period building was marketed by leading property agency, Bradley Hall, having previously been used as corporate offices.
