APPRENTICE TURNED PROPERTY EXPERT PROVES A HIGHFLYER

Created 18th October 2023

A PROPERTY professional who started her career as a teenage apprentice is celebrating a sixth promotion in as many years.

Lauren Gill joined full-service property agency Bradley Hall in 2017 as a 16-year-old administrative apprentice before being made permanent 12 months later.

Since then, she has rapidly climbed the career ladder, going on to become an assistant, executive and senior property specialist working across the North East.

However, it is Lauren’s most recent promotion, to assistant branch manager of Bradley Hall Durham, which she believes has ‘finally helped her find her feet.’

She said: “I am delighted that the company has helped me to progress so much since joining and rewarded me with this fantastic opportunity.

“I’ve really enjoyed working with the team in Durham over the past year or so, they’ve all been really welcoming and great to work with.

“As the practice continues to grow, this new opportunity will allow me to play a part in continuing to scale the business which is something I’m incredibly excited about.

“We have such an amazing team here and I’m sure we can go on to really grow the business as we look to the future.”

Central to Lauren’s success has been her commitment to continuous professional development. In the five years since finishing her apprenticeship, she has gone on to study for numerous qualifications and is continuing to study while she works.

“I’ve been really keen to continue developing my skillsets and learning new things ever since I started and I am glad that all of that hard work has paid off,” she added.

Peter Bartley, Director of Bradley Hall Durham, said: “We have been bowled over by Lauren ever since she joined the Durham team during the midst of the pandemic.

“Her dedication to continue learning both on and off the job is highly commendable and is evidenced by the qualifications and the promotions she has secured.

“She is a real asset for the company and we’re absolutely delighted to be supporting her as she continues to develop and grow with the company.”

Lauren is the latest in a string of Bradley Hall employees to join the company as an apprentice or graduate and go on to establish a career with the firm.

Neil Hart is another, having joined the company in 2000 as a Surveyor and since going on to become the Group Chief Executive.

He said: “Lauren is a real reflection of our ethos which is to reward those who work hard and show real determination to learn from others and develop their careers.

“Since joining the company in 2017, she has established herself as an invaluable member of the team, so it is no surprise to see her continuing to rise the ranks.

“I think I speak for the entire firm when I send her our congratulations and wish her all the best in her new position.”
