Plans for a new five per cent deposit mortgage scheme for first-time buyers has been announced as an initiative to "turn Generation Rent into Generation Buy".
PM Boris Johnson today announced the government plans to “give the change of home ownership and all the joy and pride that goes with it to millions who currently feel excluded.”
The plan is predicted to create 2 million more owner-occupiers by offering lower mortgage deposits for first-time-buyers in “the biggest expansion of home ownership since the 1980s.”
