CHESTER-LE-STREET SHOPPING CENTRE WELCOMES EYEBROW-THREADING BUSINESS

Created 31st August 2018

A new eyebrow-threading business has launched at St Cuthbert's Walk shopping centre in Chester-le-Street – saving the ladies of Chester a trip to the Arnison Centre or Washington Galleries.

Angel Brow & Beauty has opened in a kiosk unit at St Cuthbert's Walk, the town's main indoor shopping centre. Eyebrow threader Pam Kaur has six years’ experience, including at House of Fraser at Metrocentre.

Owner Rajan Singh said:

“Eyebrow threading is one of the must-have beauty treatments these days, and we are thrilled to be bringing our services to Chester-le-Street.

“We saw a gap in the market, and have been delighted by the welcome that we have received in the town so far.”

Open from 10 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday, and 10 am to 5 pm Friday and Saturday, Angel Brow & Beauty also offers waxing, henna tattoos and party lashes alongside eyebrow threading.

The business is already generating great feedback, with one customer on Facebook commenting that “this lady is amazing at threading. Best shape in a long, long time – give her a go, ladies!”

Joseph I’Anson, from North East property firm Bradley Hall, manages the shopping centre on behalf of the landlords. He said:

“Angel Brow & Beauty is a fantastic fit for St Cuthbert’s Walk as it is a quality, local business which provides an excellent service to its customers – its services will be very popular with shoppers.

“St Cuthbert’s Walk already benefits from a good range of quality independent micro-businesses, like Belle Boutique and Lou’s café, alongside national stores such as Morrisons, Iceland and Shoe Zone, and Angel Brow & Beauty is a great addition to the mix.

“There is always a lot of interest from businesses in the centre because of its great location and its reputation for providing a quality and convenient shopping experience to the people of Chester-le-Street. Another factor which makes the centre a popular choice with shoppers is the recently introduced three hours’ free parking.”

Bradley Hall works in partnership with Forum CentreSpace, who are responsible for letting kiosks and promotional spaces within the mall.

Independent retail and marketing consultant Graham Soult from CannyInsights.com, who has been commissioned to work with the retailers at St Cuthbert’s Walk, also welcomed the new arrival:

“Eyebrow threading is one of those things you’ll never be able to do online, making a business like Angel Brow & Beauty an important footfall driver, and a key part of the modern town-centre retail offer.

“As part of the package of support that Bradley Hall offers to tenants at St Cuthbert’s Walk, I’m looking forward to working with Pam and Rajan to spread the word about their services and promotions here in Chester-le-Street.”
