Bradley Hall Senior Surveyor, Laura Walker, has been nominated for the coveted national RICS Matrics Young Surveyor of the Year awards.
Laura, who has been with the firm for over ten years, was nominated by her colleagues at Bradley Hall following a variety of successful projects both during and after completing her degree in April 2020 and attaining her chartered status in November 2020.
Catherine Affleck, Group Operations Director and Head of Property Management, said; “While still training Laura was given responsibility for a large portfolio of management instructions across the region for a wide range of private investment clients. The nominee has, at every stage of her career, exceeded the expectations of her clients and employers through her ‘can do’ approach and diligent hard work.”
A spokesperson for the RICS said; “Entries this year were exemplary and really showcased the passion and motivation of surveyors despite some challenging times. Being a finalist in these awards is a great accolade and is to be celebrated.
“Industry leaders will now commence the next round of judging; with winners announced on 19 November at the awards ceremony being held at the Hilton, Park Lane.”
One of Laura’s clients is the well-known Blueline Group which owns a mixed-use portfolio alongside their primary private hire vehicle business. Having been managed in-house for a number of years, the client was initially hesitant about relinquishing day to day control of their assets.
